On December 11, 2023, AEON Mall (China) Investment Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "AEON Mall (China)") held the "2023 Ultimate Localization Project National Competition" in Beijing under the theme of sustainable development. The relevant person in charge of the secretariat of GPIPC and leading experts such as JETRO Beijing Office and Bank of Mitsubishi UFJ (China) Co., Ltd. were invited to participate in the competition. The Director of Public affairs of the GPIPC, Ruos Hu, served as the judge of the competition.

The event was attended by the implementation leaders of 32 regional sustainability contribution projects of AEON Mall (China), and a total of 14 projects were shortlisted for the national competition. Tatsuya Hashimoto, Chairman of AEON Mall (China), expressed in his pre-match speech, "As a global retail company, AEON adheres to the basic concept of contributing to the development of local industries, and has long been committed to becoming a more socially valuable company, which is also the original intention and goal of holding this competition."
